Get ready for your Indian visa application, in one place
Most of the difficulty in applying for an Indian visa from Bangladesh comes from being unprepared — not once you are on the portal, but before you get there. This site handles that preparation.
The rules change, so every fact here carries its source and date. Per the appointment portal’s latest FAQ (effective 16 August 2026) you choose the centre and an available date yourself, and a Webfile — the PDF of the online application — older than 30 days is not accepted. The earlier report that “you can no longer choose a slot from 1 July” is not supported by that FAQ.
Where people get stuck
The 15-minute session
Once you click “Book Your Appointment” you have 15 minutes to upload your Webfile, pick a centre and date, and pay. Run out of time and the blocked slot is released — you start again. Without everything prepared in advance, most people fail repeatedly.
Document mistakes
Wrong photo dimensions, a passport with under 6 months validity or too few blank pages, a name spelled differently from the passport, an incomplete address — this is why most applications come back.
Expiry slipping past
Six months of passport validity, a Webfile no older than 30 days, a dollar endorsement no older than one month — losing track of what expires when causes last-minute trouble.
Where to start
Document checklists by visa type
All ten visa types from the High Commission's official document, each with its own paperwork. Tick items off as you gather them; the ticks stay on your own phone.
Questions and answers
Photo dimensions, passport validity, proof of financial soundness — the questions that come up most often, answered with sources and dates.
Visa photo check
Pick your photo and see whether its shape, file type, size and background fit — right on your phone, with nothing uploaded.
Prep sheet for the 15-minute session
Check your passport validity, gather what you need, and rehearse against a timer — all before you open the portal. Nothing you enter is stored.
Application centres
The five centres, so you can decide where to go before the session starts.
