What details does portal sign-up need, and why must they match?
Mobile, email, name, passport number, NID and date of birth — all must match the Primary Webfile, and they are hard to change later.
In detail
On sign-up the portal asks for: mobile number and email (both verified by OTP), given name and surname, passport number, NID or citizenship number, and date of birth. The FAQ says these must match the Primary Webfile data.
The match matters: the first common reason the FAQ lists for a failed booking is a mismatch between sign-up details and the Primary Webfile. The others are a Webfile older than 30 days, an incomplete consent process, CAPTCHA failure, no slot available and payment failure.
Mistakes are not easy to undo:
- before the Primary Webfile is uploaded, name, passport number, NID and date of birth can be edited once; mobile and email cannot be changed at this stage
- after upload, name, NID, mobile and email can be changed only once, and only 6 months after the account was created
- the passport number can never be edited (the system may allow one additional passport number after 6 months), and neither can the date of birth
So check passport, NID and date of birth against the Webfile before you sign up. Use your own mobile number and email: the FAQ warns that if an agent uses their own, those details become linked to your passport number and getting into the account later can be difficult.
We do not ask for any of these details and store none — the prep sheet only reminds you.
